I run a number of workshops in Hastings
each year. They are usually in life drawing and painting.
They are limited to a
maximum of 10 participants. Anyone can apply to join. You will
be encouraged to work at your own level and to aim beyond that. They
will be very intensive, but a lot of fun. Contact me with any
questions.
All workshops include the use of easels and
drawing boards. You should bring your own materials, although paper,
pencils, charcoal and putty rubbers will be available for sale.
You will be sent a list of suggested colours and brushes to
use. You are welcome to contact me before the class to discuss what
materials you might need, or any other points.

Mondays, 15th October, 12th November, 10th December
2007: (10am - 4pm with hour for lunch)
This workshop in Hastings will look at 3 different models in
3 different poses. The first day will have an emphasis on
drawing for information, the second on composition and the third
on colour.
There will be demonstrations as well as individual guidance
to the artists.
cost: £90 - 15 hours tuition,

Mondays, 21st January, 18th February, 17th March, 2008: (10am - 4pm with hour for lunch)
An opportunity to study the relationship between 2 figures,
in terms of scale, shape and rythms. In addition to the shorter
studies of anatomy and composition, one longer pose will
be held for part of each of the 3 days to allow a more
prolongued work to be achieved.
