Introduction       Workshops        The Beacon

The Beacon Arts Hub

Perched at the top of the western slope of the "West Hill" in Hastings, on an acre of land, and with stunning views over the town and the sea, the Beacon is evolving slowly from a large family home to a unique arts 'hub'.  This late Victorian house (ex hostel-for-foreign-students)  is a relaxed venue, independent of official funding,  where people can come to see an exhibition (held on a monthly basis), make art, participate in a workshop or have dinner while listening to classical music or jazz concerts (held every 6 weeks).

Six artists currently live and work here with a further three working from studios in the garden.

The Beacon holds regular open studios on the first Sunday of every month, midday - 4pm when everyone is welcome to visit and have a look at what's going on.

The workshops will be held in the large studio attached to the back of the house.
